septic media homepage, version 0.1
Hey hey! webspace developments, there is content and goodies available here, at least for now... its not the real homepage, which is still in development... its the interface i had set up on my computer for our gradshow, as a result, it wasn't designed to run online, and is a bit image-heavy, so if you are on dial-up it might take a while for the pages to load... also, i need to re-compress the videos in order to make them viewable online, so those links are broken, except for the 'true love' movie, which is done in flash. so, enjoy!

s.o.d. for the c.i.t.r.
Update time! Past time, really. Been mad busy, finished school on the all to appropriate date of Friday August 13th... frazzling times indeed. So, these two images are the front/inside fold and the back of the cover for the cd which Speaking of Devils submitted to c.i.t.r. radio for ye olde Shindig battle of the bands... hopefully it charms the pants off of everyone who comes into contact with it. Additionally, movements are afoot for a proper website for Septic Media, so I won't have funny blogger logo's all over the place.

poster for show on friday
so this is the "finished" version of the black and white poster below, for our show this friday... not maybe perfect, but i didn't have a whole lot of time to play with it.
so come see our show, anyways! and click on the thumb for a bigger version, it kinda looks lame 100 pixels wide.
i finish school on friday, the day of the show... that is gonna be one hella long day. but i'm stoked for it... as long as i can still stand up (exhaustion, perhaps, drunkeness, also perhaps,) when we go on stage.
good times!
and then maybe i can get some sleep for a few days.

rough poster designs
hey, two weeks in and i'm keeping on schedule! whatever that is worth.
so, these are some rough designs for posters for the band i'm in,, "speaking of devils"...
the line-ups and dates are at least semi-fictitious, if not totally and utterly made up... i needed text to experiment with, y'know... there are a few issues with the spacing of the type, especially on the blue one... the perils of doing these things too late at night. but that is why they are roughs/experiments, and not stuck on a wall someplace!
so, you can click on the thumbs to open the bad boys in another window. , ya!

So it begins...
Word...
so, here we are... haven't had time to customize the layout or anything yet,... whatever... !!
just sticking up some images, .... they're on a kinda slow server, so, if it takes a while for them to load... SUCK IT UP!!
;)
first, an animated gif!!! (don't tell anyone, they're the wave of the future as far as retro-web kitsch goes)
the alley mattress series. i've been taking pictures of the mattresses i find in alleys for a while now. how do they get there? what stories could they tell? would you want to hear them? (no, probably not). behind the ivanhoe is a good spot for mattress hunting, surprise, surprise... fear not tho, i practise catch and release.
second, bus faces! been noticing that there is a new art movement rising at the back of the bus. little punks are scratching these faces into the paint... or maybe octagenarians are doing it, what do i know? i think they're cool. way better than your standard fucking shitty tags. whatever, chinita.
third!!
this is a series i did a while back, december, i guess it was... maybe not... whatever. a while back, ran around the bowels of east van with my buddy adam snapping pix, this is some of the best of the results. word.
one last thing...
edit:: i took the jill trailer down until i can get it to stream properly. !! tarnation! i blame after effects.
the lumpy jill teaser/trailer!!!! this is a teaser for a video project i'm working on, should be done by spring, or maybe even in time for christmas, if things go really well. we'll see. anyways, lumpy jill is this girl who lives in a book, down by the sea, with her three bear friends... she realises one day that her mummy and daddy are missing, so she and the bears break out of the book into the 3-D world in order to go and find them. On the way they will meet such characters as "fred the thread", and, .ummm. Maybe some wombles, hard to say... the script is still in development.
anyways, the fucking thing is here, and its like, 16 meg and i haven't made it streaming, an error in the compression process... so, you'll have to wait a few minutes to watch it. its like, a minute long. and very cute.
right on, peeps.
i'll leave it at that, for now,
Will.
